David Gould A Founder and President

David Gould is one of the most respected Accredited Loss Adjustment Consultants in the country and leading authority on property insurance coverage. He founded American Claims Management Services in 1987 after he spent 23 years at another company.

David founded ACMS on three basic principles dedication to securing clients the best possible settlement, in-depth knowledge of insurance policies and attention to details. The result is American Claims Management Services (ACMS) has steadily grown into one of the most dependable and reputable public adjustment firms in the country. It is known nationwide for its successful efforts in pursuing the best settlements for its clients.

David is a Senior Professional Public Adjuster (SPPA), a National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters certification, and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He has held several committee positions on the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (NAPIA). His is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Maryland Association of CPAs.

He is a frequent writer and speaker on insurance and business interruption topics. In recent years, he was a featured presenter at the Commercial Real Estate Discussion Group of the Maryland State Bar Association, Inc. and spoke about property insurance coverage. He has also been a presenter at the Annual Property Insurance seminar for Professional Property Adjusters and spoke on the changes in CP Forms. In addition, he wrote “Crafting the Best Business Interruption Policy”, that appeared in The Risk Management Quarterly, (CPCU Society) Vol. 21, No. 3, September, 2004.

David was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and graduated with honors from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Economics.

 

Jeffrey Gould A Vice President

Jeffrey Gould has been a public adjuster since 1994. He joined American Claims Management Services after serving five years as Assistant Legislative Auditor for the Maryland General Assembly. While he enjoyed the important work in Annapolis, it only increased his desire to help people in their time of need. He became a Certified Public Adjuster and has become one of the top adjusters in the country because of his knowledge of insurance policies, experience in managing claims and ability to work with insurance companies to get his clients the optimal settlements.

Full of energy and enthusiasm, Jeff is respected among his peers and colleagues for his ability
to work collaboratively. He is known for his attention to detail and ability to work well with insurance companies in securing ACMS clients the best possible settlements.

Jeff’s dedication to his career has led him to be an active participant in his profession. He not only became a member of the NAPIA but also was selected to serve as a member of NAPIA’s Board of Directors. He served on NAPIA’s Constitution and By-laws Committee from 2002-2004. He is recognized by his peers for his thoughtfulness and ability to merge differing opinions into one solution.

In addition to his professional commitments, Jeff is active in his community and serves on several boards in the Baltimore area. He was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and later graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. After his graduation from Tulane, he studied accounting at University of Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland and became a Certified Public Accountant.
